Our Philosophy of Care
Infertility is generally defined as difficulty becoming pregnant after a period of time. While clinical definitions exist, our providers focus less on labels and more on understanding what may be affecting your fertility and how to support you moving forward.
Fertility can be influenced by many factors and may involve one or both partners or sometimes no clear cause at all.
Fertility care at Partners in Women’s Health begins with conversation. We take time to understand your health history, menstrual cycles and family building goals. Evaluation often happens over time rather than all at once and is guided by shared decision making.
Fertility Evaluation & Infertility Treatment Options
Some patients seek fertility evaluation after trying to conceive for a period of time while others come earlier based on age, cycle concerns or personal preference.
If infertility is identified, treatment depends on the underlying cause, how long pregnancy has been attempted, age, overall health and personal preferences.
Fertility treatment options may include:
Medications to support ovulation
Procedures to evaluate or treat physical concerns that may affect fertility, such as uterine polyps, fibroids, scar tissue, or blocked fallopian tubes
Referral for assisted reproductive care when appropriate
