At Partners in Women's Health, we offer high quality care in general obstetrics and gynecology, and we are constantly motivated to bring our patients the most recent advances in our field. We explore the new technologies, and keep current with the evidence-based practices recommended by the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG).
We have listed many of the services we offer below. By no means is this an exhaustive list; these are just some of the more common categories.
Please click on the links embedded in the individual topics for more information. We believe the internet can be a correct, and incorrect, source of medical information, so we wish to provide links for our patients which are medically sound.

Annual exams are an important part of health maintenance. Talk to your provider about which screening tests are recommended in your individual situation.
Did you know that many teenage women may not need pelvic exams yet? BUT, We do encourage office visits to discuss healthy behaviors, including birth control, STD prevention, drug/alchol/tobacco use, menstrual issues. Let us help you broach these awkward topics with you or your teen!
We were the first practice in Colorado to perform Essure in the office. Since 2005, women have time and again been very satisfied with the procedure at PIWH, from initial contact with our knowledgeable staff, to personal service in our relaxing office setting, to post-procedure follow-up.
Essure is a permanent sterilization procedure for women who are sure they are finished with childbearing and would like a minimally invasive option to accomplish this. Many patients only owe an office copay, not a deductible...ask Heather to check your coverage today!
We have been offering endometrial ablation in our office since 2006. Women have been thrilled with the prospect of not having to undergo general anesthesia, nor enter a hospital setting, and have been very satisfied with relief from heavy periods.
As with Essure, patient cost may be minimal for ablation as well...ask Heather to check your insurance coverage.
For more than 30 years, PIWH has offered excellent traditional surgical options for various gynecologic conditions. We have been proud to offer more minimally invasive surgeries as they have evolved, including:
-Laparoscopic Supracervical Hysterectomy
-Laparoscopic Assisted Vaginal Hysterectomy
-Laparoscopic Salpingoophorectomy
-Hysteroscopic Myomectomy/Polypectomy
There is so much in the popular press about HPV (human papillomavirus) these days. Who should get the vaccine? Should I get the HPV test? How often should I get Pap smears? What do I do if my Pap is abnormal?
Let PIWH guide you through the information. We follow current guidelines, and if treatment procedures are required, most are performed easily in the office.
Which birth control is right for me? Talk to your provider at PIWH about all the options, including hormonal methods, IUDs, barrier methods, and permanent options.
If your birth control method fails you, we offer emergency contraception 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Many aspects of cancer screening (cervical, breast, colon) are discussed at the well woman visit.
We will also help you sort out if you may be at risk for a more rare, but more high risk, hereditary cancer syndrome (where breast, ovarian, uterine, and colon cancers and melanomas may run in families).
You got through your teens, your pregnancies, the kids are off to college...and now there is this menopause thing!
Schedule a consultation at PIWH to discuss preventative care and management of menopausal symptoms.
See what Dr. Imperial has to say about it as editor for The Wise Passage Menopause Guide.
Schedule a consultation with Dr. Patwardhan to discuss acupuncture for the following conditions: fertility, painful periods, overactive bladder, and pregnancy-associated conditions (nausea/vomiting, low back pain).
Dr. Patwardhan practices medical acupuncture, for the above conditions only, which is based in Chinese medical philosophy, but uses evidence-based point combinations. She will help you decide if this therapy is right for you. For new patients, both Western and Eastern perspectives of symptoms will be explored.
Are you a couple struggling to conceive? Are you and your same gender partner looking to start a family? Are you pursuing options to conceive without a partner? Talk to your provider at PIWH. We offer fertility testing, counseling, and treatment, with appropriate referral to specialists.
